  • Position: Plasma Engineer(s)

  • Location: San Jose, CA, Austin, TX, or Phoenix, AZ, USAㅁReports to: Head of R&D Center

  • Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and simulate RF systems and multidisciplinary plasma phenomena, including plasma discharge, diffusion (density & distribution), neutral gas dynamics, heat and mass transfer, and plasma chemistry.ㅁConduct modeling, numerical analyses, and simulations to address complex plasma processes in semiconductor equipment.

  2. Apply fundamental physics, advanced modeling, and simulation techniques to support tool design from concept and feasibility studies to root cause analysis and optimization.ㅁCreate plasma models and validation techniques to improve accuracy and predictability for specific semiconductor applications.ㅁUtilize commercial and open-source simulation codes, developing custom scripts as necessary to optimize simulations.

  3. Integrate machine learning, data science, and optimization methods to enhance the impact and efficiency of plasma models.ㅁCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, solving technical challenges and communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  4. Develop best practices and workflows for recurring plasma processing problems, ensuring consistent and effective simulations.

  • Qualifications:

  1. PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences, or Aerospace Engineering.

  2. Expertise in at least two of the following areas:

    Computational Plasma Physics and Numerical Methods (Fluid & Kinetic-based) Computational Plasma Chemistry & Material Physics Computational Fluid Dynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, and Reactive Flows Programming and machine learning applications

  3. Experience working with laboratory data, analyzing experiments, and applying insights to simulation models.
